| History In 1986, Buttercup Farms officially came into existence when it offered help to a 17-year-old girl who was struggling with anorexia. When extensive treatments at a university clinic in the Midwest didn’t solve her eating disorder, Buttercup Farms took her in. Providing housing, eight caring individuals to live with, as well as unconditional love and support, she received a new start and her challenge was resolved within six months. Her recovery is complete to this day and she is living a meaningful and prosperous life. This was only the first of what has since turned into many hundreds of inspiring stories of individuals nurtured by the loving volunteers at the farm. Over the years, the Buttercup Farms focus has shifted from the rehabilitation of individuals to empowerment programs on an international scale. |
